Discover the true meaning of Christmas in Precious Possession: A Christmas Tale. A heartwarming story about love, gratitude, and the gifts that matter most.
A long time ago, a mother reportedly disciplined her five-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of pricey gold wrapping paper. When the child decorated a box to place beneath the Christmas tree with gold paper, she grew even more irate because she was short on cash. The following morning, however, the young child presented the gift box to her mother and declared, “This is for you, Momma.”

The mother’s initial overreaction had humiliated her, but when she opened the package and saw it was empty, her fury erupted once more. She addressed her daughter in a nasty manner. “Young woman, do not you realize that there should be something in the package when you give someone a gift?” “Oh, Momma, it is not empty!” she cried, her eyes welling with tears. I filled it with kisses till it was full.

The mother was devastated. She knelt and wrapped her arms around her young daughter, pleading with her for her careless rage. Shortly afterward, the child died in an accident, and the mother is said to have kept that gold box by her bed for the rest of her life.
She would open the box, remove an imaginary kiss, and recall the affection of the child who placed it there whenever she was feeling depressed or faced with challenging circumstances.

Every human being has been given a golden box full of kisses and unconditional love from God, our family, friends, and children. No one could ever own a more valuable asset.
