Stanislavsky Lech: 25 Miles to Freedom

Anthony Robbins recounts the tale of an escapee from the Krakow Death Camp. His name was Stanislavsky Lech, and he witnessed his family being killed when the Nazis raided his house and forced him and his family into Krakow. They put him to work. In addition to his anguish, he eventually felt weak and hungry, and he considered the possibility that he would not live another day in Krakow.

“How can we escape from such a place?” was his new query instead of “How can there be such a terrible place?” At first, the response was identical: “There is no escape.” “How can I accomplish it?” he asked repeatedly, in slightly different ways.

Soon after, he realized that the bodies of those who had just been gassed were crammed into the back of a truck and smelled rotting flesh a short distance from where he was working. Once more, he substituted “How can I utilize this to help me escape?” for “How can God allow this to happen?”

The truck was there the following evening when he got home from work. When no one was looking, he undressed and climbed into the heap of corpses while feigning death. He waited while the fragrance permeated his body and the cold of the dead pressed against him. He and the others were dumped after a brief journey to the open grave. He did not dare to peek around till things had been quiet for a while.

They had vanished. That night, he got up and ran 25 kilometers to freedom while nude.

He asked a different query, which helped him to break free. Our inquiries will always be answered by our higher self, often known as our intuition. Knowing where we may use some assistance is as beneficial as knowing what we truly want.
